  Our Background

Sukiada Engineering Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated 10 th June 1989 with its core business centred around general engineering and contracting. The company's initial activities ranged from general construction, industrial plant servicing and maintenance, to special development projects. It also had a trading division which involved in sales and distribution of specialised engineering and fire protection system products.

The founder, Mr. Wong Hing Sing, has more than 30 years of working experience in the fire and safety industry, having initially served his commitment in protecting the lives of others in the Singapore Fire Services Department (now known as the Singapore Civil Defense Force).  After which, Mr Wong served as a Fire Protection Specialist.

With an initial staff strength of four, Sukiada Engineering Sdn. Bhd. grew and engaged itself in fire protection projects which involved the supply, installation and maintenance of fire protection equipment to Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) Power Stations, namely Connaught Bridge, Kapar, Paka, Pasir Gudang, Port Dickson and later to the Independent Power Producers (IPPs).

Following the ratification of the Montreal Protocol by the Malaysian Government in 1995, Sukiada deepened its involvement in the fire protection industry (particularly that of Halon alternative fire protection products) by being the sole distributor of FIKE® HFC-227ea (commonly known as FE-227 or FM-200) fire protection systems for Malaysia in the same year. Within a year, Sukiada Engineering Sdn. Bhd. built its reputation in prompt delivery,
installation  as well as effective and dedicated after-sales service of HFC-227ea products.
In 1996, under the Malaysian Privatisation Policy, Sukiada Engineering Sdn. Bhd. hit another milestone by being awarded the license to manage and operate the Malaysian Halon Bank (MHB), whereby Sukiada was responsible for the collection and recycling of Halon in Malaysia. With a mission to eradicate Halon usage as a fire protection agent in Malaysia, MHB was funded by the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) Multilateral Fund and supervised by the Malaysian Fire and Rescue
Department (BOMBA) and Department of Environment (DOE). On 1st January 2000, Sukiada handed over the management and operation of MHB to BOMBA, but continued providing technical and manpower assistance towards smooth collection and recycling of Halon.

The company also had a strategic alliance with the country's main electrical power provider, TNB through its wholly-owned subsidiary TNEC. TNEC-Sukiada Consortium was formed to venture into TNB fire protection upgrading and refurbishment, and also new installation works.

In July 2002, to further strengthen its commitment to the fire safety industry, Sukiada Engineering Sdn. Bhd. looked into total quality management by getting certified ISO 9001:2000 in providing Design, Distribution, Installation, Test, Commissioning and Maintenance of Fire Fighting System.

Sukiada also set up a UL-certified HFC-227ea filling/ refilling station at Shah Alam in collaboration with DuPont, to cater for the Halon replacement and also new total flooding systems demand.

Sukiada Engineering Sdn. Bhd.'s head office was first located at No.53A, Jalan SS15/4E, Subang Jaya. It then moved to No.80A, Jalan SS14/1, Subang Jaya in January 1993 . Subsequently in April 2000, Sukiada Engineering Sdn. Bhd. relocated again to its present location at :
